Depression/Suicide Prevention/Suicide Loss

This is a two-part show about depression, suicide prevention, and help available to those who have lost a loved one to suicide. In the first portion, Cathy’s guest is Dr. Dave Miers of Bryan’s Mental Health Services who will also discuss a featured speaker and free community event addressing these topics at Bryan Health on Oct. 3rd. In the second part, Cathy welcomes Amy Zetterman Olson, founder of Project 4:7, a faith-based, non-profit organization that works with those who battle depression, anxiety, and addiction, and offers financial support toward treatment plans. Amy will share the very personal story of the suicide of her brother Adam 7 years ago and what their family has done to not only honor Adam’s memory, but to reach out to others who are in the darkness of depression.
